The school of Medicine at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) (https://www.sustech.edu.cn/en/) invites applications for the Chair position of three Departments including Biochemistry, Human Cell Biology and Genetics, Medical Neuroscience.

Since its inception in 2012, SUSTech has quickly risen to a first-class research university. The School of Medicine at SUSTech was founded in 2018 (https://med.sustech.edu.cn/). Our mission is to train and foster leading medical students and researchers who will possess ethical integrity, professional excellence and international vision. Taking the advantage of strong science and engineering disciplines at SUSTech, the School of Medicine will establish a system of ‘new medicine’ to foster interdisciplinary integration between medicine and engineering, the humanities and sciences, with ‘clinical medicine’ at its core. We are undergoing a transformative expansion with new research buildings and affiliated hospitals in the coming years. We foster the integration of clinical hospital-based investigation and basic science with emphasis on clinic-oriented translational study. The School of Medicine has started a major recruitment effort to fill over 100 faculty positions with open ranks in the next 5 years.

1. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree, have achieved outstanding academic achievements recognized by international peers
2. Candidates should have a strong academic vision and excellent team-building skills.
3. Candidates should have significant leadership experience, strong organizational, management skills.
4. Candidates should be a dedicated leader and mentor to faculty, post-docs, students, and staff.
5. Candidates with clinical-related background and/or translational research potential are encouraged to apply.
