Position Summary: 
Incumbent must be able to perform full range of dental hygienic procedures, performing preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene services, including scaling, root planning, soft tissue curettage, polishing of teeth and stain removal.  Incumbent will be responsible for taking and developing x-rays.  Will be responsible for providing instruction regarding oral hygiene and oral disease programs.
 
 
Salary Range: 
 
Hourly Rate  Minimum   $59.00                   Midpoint               $66.16                   Maximum $73.32
 
 
Required Qualifications:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Bilingual skills in English and Spanish
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Working knowledge of use of dental equipment such as hand pieces and x-ray equipment
Working knowledge of dental terminology
Working knowledge of rules and procedures of sanitation, sterilization, and safety as applied to dental treatment operatory areas
Current CA registration / certification as a Dental Hygienist
Minimum 2 years experience working as a Dental Hygienist
Must possess radiology certification
Working knowledge of Electronic Oral Health Record system
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Current BLS certification
 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrieval
Working knowledge of FQHC requirements and working environment
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
