Denials Management Analyst – 119081

This position will work either an onsite, remote or hybrid schedule (which includes a combination of working both onsite at Greenwich Drive and remote).

Advanced hospital billing and collections Support department denials management processes for facility claim billing and collections. Demonstrate advanced facility billing experience with complex claim denials, underpayments and overpayments. Perform advanced billing, collection and analysis tasks related to complex facility claim denials for all commercial and government insurance carriers, demonstrate high-level reading and comprehension skills interpreting medical insurance company claim correspondence and adjudications, participate in root-cause claim data analysis activities related to trended claim denials, train internal team members to perform denials management tasks on facility denied claims and provide recommendations on billing and collection processes to prevent facility claim denials, underpayments and overpayments.

  • Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus three (3) years of related experience/training. Relate experience: hospital billing and collection experience such as clinical denials or reference to a denials management department.

  • Thorough knowledge of medical terminology and coding.

  • Demonstrate hospital Billing and follow up experience working in a large healthcare system.

  • Experience handling facility medical necessity denials.
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

If applicable, life-support certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, etc.) must include hands-on practice and in-person skills assessment; online-only certification is not acceptable.
