  • Present solutions to audiences within and outside Berkeley Lab.

What is Required:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent knowledge/training) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in automation and/or systems programming (e.g., Python/Ruby/Perl, GoLang, C, Rust, etc.)
  • Proficiency with natural language processing, knowledge graph construction, and algorithm development.
  • Experience with the development of nomenclature and taxonomy databases, with a focus on genomic data.
  • Experience with modern software development practices including APIs and “DevOps” technologies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of object-relational mapping and text and data mining.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to conduct analysis and present information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work in a diverse team environment.

What We Prefer:

  • Demonstrated experience with operating infrastructure in a life science environment.
