In our Product Development – Data Warehouse & Analytics, we believe in ownership, autonomy and a servant leadership style that support growth through coaching and mentoring. Why this role is important to us 

As a data modeller for our Investment Management Warehouse [IMW] model, you will play a crucial role in shaping the foundation of our data infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure that our data model remains robust, scalable, and aligned with both business and industry standards. The IMW model is designed to follow best practices in data warehousing, such as the Ralph Kimball methodology, and it covers the most relevant areas of SimCorp Dimension from a reporting and analytics perspective. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our data management processes, supporting our clients’ investment management workflows. 

With over 130 global clients, and recent integration with Snowflake, this is an exciting opportunity to work with an innovative, cloud-agnostic data platform supporting investment management workflows. 

What you will be responsible for 

We are looking for a motivated and highly skilled Data Modelling Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for: 

  • Maintain Investment Management Warehouse (IMW) Data Model: Ensure the Investment Management Warehouse model remains up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with business and industry standards.
  • Support Existing Clients: Provide guidance and support to clients using the SimCorp Data Warehouse, and promote Business Process as a Service (BPaaS) initiatives.
  • Customize and Merge Solutions: Work with consultants to merge non-standard client customizations into the standard IMW model and assist in best practices for IMW extensions.
  • Data Marts and Analytics Integration: Collaborate with Solution Architects and Product Teams to extend the IMW model with business data marts, supporting analytics platforms like Investment Analytics Platform (IAP) and ESG.
  • Drive Data Model Enhancements: Proactively identify, design and implement data model changes to support new business requirements, ensuring scalability and adaptability.
  • Snowflake Integration: Gain hands-on experience with Snowflake, supporting clients in migrating from Oracle to Snowflake, and optimizing data workflows within the cloud environment.

You like to move in the space between technology and business with a strong technical foundation with: 

  • Comprehensive Understanding of Data Domains – preferably experience with investment management business flows and data domains within investment systems
  • Data Modelling Expertise: In-depth knowledge of data modelling and database design, preferably with the Ralph Kimball methodology.
  • Data Warehousing Best Practices: Familiarity with data warehousing design, integration patterns, and implementation strategies.
  • Platform Experience: Knowledge of Oracle and Snowflake, with additional experience in Python or similar development languages preferable.
  • Enhanced Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
