Job Summary

The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for the end to end BI lifecycle of various projects within Trimble’s Corporate Data Operations/BI team. The successful candidate will work with a wide variety of stakeholders to drive adoption, generate valuable data insights across Trimble enterprise and be a responsible administrator/owner of the BI tool. 

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring project deliverables are met, requirements across Trimble’s businesses are delivered from conception to implementation, processes are created to optimize administration efforts, regulatory procedures are aligned to and ensure data stewardship best practices are in place. As a BI Analyst, the candidate will work closely with business stakeholders on projects ranging from one-off data wrangling to large enterprise transformation efforts. 

The candidate will design dashboards and reports that will need to be captured from a diverse set of source systems and operationalize them to drive business needs. This will require a strong understanding of SQL, data modeling, ETL

building, dashboard building and report creation. Familiarity with machine learning and statistical tools to develop predictive analytics as businesses mature would be preferred. Finally, the candidate will ensure ongoing support needs for existing users are met with a high degree of satisfaction. 

Skills & Experience Desired

• Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, CS, engineering, or related field/equivalent experience required 

• 10+ years experience in a business intelligence or equivalent role

• 10+ years experience with SQL, databases, data visualization tools and scripting language such as Python

• Business application experience with Oracle ERP, Salesforce CRM is a plus

• BI tool experience with Domo preferred. At a minimum Tableau, PowerBI, or other BI tool mastery required. 

• Excellent communication skills, resourcefulness, and ability to work autonomously

• Able to architect solutions in a complicated business system environment
