We’re determined to make a difference and are proud to be an insurance company that goes well beyond coverages and policies. Working here means having every opportunity to achieve your goals – and to help others accomplish theirs, too. Join our team as we help shape the future.
The Hartford has invested in and has been successfully executing on a multi-year strategy to create a sustained culture of process excellence and continuous improvement, enabling achievement of our vision of being an exceptional company celebrated for financial performance, character and customer value.
This role will be part of Actuarial Information Services, a dedicated team of business and technical experts that supports enterprise-critical regulatory reporting, reserving and other functions. Our team is a cross-functional team of data engineers and business analysts working in a highly collaborative environment which involves interaction between many internal departments (as mentioned previously) and external companies/regulators/etc. We are seeking a candidate with a strong foundation in data management, data engineering and process automation who has a drive for finding efficient solutions to maximize business value.
As a Data Engineer, you will be a key contributor to supporting our Financial Controllers teams with all of the needed data in a timely and (most importantly) accurate fashion. Our team culture prioritizes teamwork and cooperation with clear communication skills and a deep knowledge of data in order to pull and validate needed data sets. You will need to use creative, outside-the-box thinking to solve problems in a complex business environment while still executing your solutions with logical and structured code that meets our production standards.
