Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will involve supporting Product Team initiatives that enable compliance initiatives, system life cycle and risk mitigation. You will lead assessments and solutioning of integrations for data ingestion, transformations and interactions between systems and develop integrated data solutions to support visualizing data across several R&D applications.

  • Partner with IS and Business customers to ensure solution delivery of solutions following SDLC practices.

  • Part of project/product team, willing to jump in and do programming/code-reviews as required. Some hands-on programming (SQL/Scripts) is encouraged.

  • Resolve data integration related issues. Coordinate with vendor for resolving issues and bug fixes

  • Chips in towards design and rapid Proof-of-Concept (POC) development efforts for automated solutions that improve efficiency and simplify business processes.

  • Research PV capabilities and supporting technologies as needed to suit business requirements and provide gap analysis.

  • Ensures design, development of software solutions is meeting Amgen architectural, security, quality, and development guidelines.

  • Responsible for supporting and leading technical root cause analysis and works with product teams/vendors to resolve PV systems related issues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree and 1 to 3 years of Software Development Process experience OR

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years of Software Development Process OR

  • Diploma and 7 to 9 years of Software Development Process experience

  • 5+ years of experience within a regulated industry

  • Expertise in the Software Development Process (SDLC), 21 CFR Part 11, EU’s Annex 11, and GAMP® 5 requirements, particularly their relevance to PV systems (GCP Guidelines).

  • Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate within the organization.

  • Experience working with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Sprint and Scrum), and DevOps practices.

  • Experience with JIRA

  • 1 year experience using AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Machine Learning (ML) and API solutions (e.g. Mulesoft)

  • Knowledgeable about Gen AI technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot

  • Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages JavaScript, Python etc.

  • Experience with SQL and relational databases such as Postgres SQL, PLSQL, SQL Server

  • 1-2 years of experience in designing, developing, deploying, and operating end-to-end automated solutions/platforms across SaaS, Cloud, and On-prem.

  • Experience in building various machine learning models

  • Some experience in automation software platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, PowerAutomate, etc.) is required

  • Experience with AWS Services like EC2, S3, Redshift/Spectrum, Glue, Athena, RDS, Lambda, and API Gateway is a plus

  • A strong customer service focus and ability to build effective working relationships with team members, customers, and management.

  • Outstanding collaboration skills across all levels of the organization.

  • Confidence in raising action points with senior individuals, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience with IT Service Management platforms, preferably ServiceNow.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling complex challenges in drug discovery with data

  • Collaborative spirit and effective communication skills to work seamlessly in a cross-functional team

  • An ongoing commitment to learning and staying at the forefront of AI/ML advancements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in a scientific domain area and related technology needs

  • Understanding of scientific data strategy, data governance, data infrastructure

  • Experience with cloud (e.g. AWS) and on-premise compute infrastructure

  • Experience with stakeholder management, leading a team of 20, ensuring seamless coordination across teams and driving the successful delivery of technical projects

  • Familiarity with data analytics and scientific computing platforms such as Databricks, Dash, Plotly, Spotfire and related programming languages like SQL, python

  • Experience creating impactful slide decks and communicating data

  • Ability to drive projects/company initiatives using Agile methodology

Professional Certifications:

  • SAFe for Teams certification (preferred)

  • SAFe Product Owner and SAFe Product Manager (preferred)
