Cossatot Community College of the University of Arkansas (UA Cossatot) began in DeQueen, Arkansas in 1975 as an Arkansas Vocational-Technical School, designed to provide relevant workforce training for four counties in southwest Arkansas. Summary of Job Duties:
The Cybersecurity/Computer Science Instructor will teach a combination of at least five in-person and/or online courses per semester; develop curriculum and instructional materials for courses as needed; evaluate student performance by following UAC’s assessment plan; engage with business and industry representatives; facilitate and maintain relationships with other colleges within the CyberLearn consortium; partner with the Department of Workforce Development to offer non-credit industry certification training; attend recruiting events; and will be required to travel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or related field.
- In-field certifications and work experience.
- 5+ years of industry or field experience preferred.
- Previous teaching experience preferred.
Additional Information:
Salary range is $50,000 to $58,000 annually, dependent upon education and experience. Compensation includes an excellent benefits package.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check, sex offender registry check, and child maltreatment registry check.
