JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Commonwealth Campus Housing and Food Services at Penn State Brandywine is seeking one management intern (PSU graduate or post-graduate student preferred) with a Hospitality or Business-related degree.

The Housing and Food Services internship will provide an opportunity for application of knowledge acquired in the classroom while gaining meaningful professional experience. 

This two-semester internship begins Fall 2022 and culminates Spring Semester 2023 with some negotiating on start and finish dates.   The successful candidate will be paid $22.00 per hour, working a 40-hour work week not to exceed 1560 hours total.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of professionalism; strong customer service skills, excellent writing and communication skills, accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.   Candidates should have completed their degree and be starting graduate studies or be ready to enter the workforce.   The candidate must commit for both the Fall and Spring Semester.   Please include a resume and cover letter detailing why you would be an ideal candidate and provide one academic reference.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
