This is an exciting opportunity to join the Customer Support Team at Manchester Met within the Business Improvement Team. The team support the Estates, Facilities and Capital Development (EFCD) Directorate with core services such as management of the University switchboard and maintenance help desk, Training and Compliance, Engagement and Quality and Contract Management.
The Customer Support Team deliver high quality, efficient and effective administration and support services to our various departments and stakeholders across EFCD.
About the role:
The Customer Support Assistant will support colleagues from across EFCD working in Birchall Way with the meeting and greeting of visitors, receiving and distributing deliveries in a safe and timely manner and supporting the implementation of the Management of Contractors system including overseeing health and safety inductions and processes for external contractors working with our EFCD teams.

Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate will have experience of providing high quality reception and administration support in a large organisation.
They will be able to demonstrate a wide range of skills and experience in a busy and demanding administration and support role, including managing demanding priorities.
Strong interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. A willingness to learn and embrace new technologies would be beneficial in this ever-evolving role.
In recognition of staff contributions to the University’s achievements during the 2021/2022 academic year, an additional discretionary payment of 2% per annum will be added to your salary until 31/07/23 in order to ensure consistency amongst existing and incoming staff. This additional 2% will be paid pro rata in equal monthly installments, on top of your salary each month until 31/07/23.
