Customer Service Representative in Oak Brook, Illinois

Description We are looking for a Customer Service Representative in the Construction/Contractor industry, based in Oak Brook, Illinois. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and will involve processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer applications in a timely manner

• Maintain detailed and accurate customer records

• Handle customer inquiries and provide appropriate solutions

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions based on account status

• Multi-task across multiple platforms to ensure efficient service delivery

• Answer inbound calls and provide excellent customer service

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry and email correspondence

• Schedule appointments and manage customer interactions through inbound and outbound calls

• Maintain a high level of professionalism during high call volume periods

• Demonstrate a strong background in the construction industry. Requirements • Proven experience in customer service roles, preferably within the construction/contractor industry.

• Proficiency in handling inbound and outbound calls, with a track record of resolving customer queries effectively.

• Experience in a call center environment would be advantageous.

• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage email correspondence professionally and promptly.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Experience in order entry and managing customer orders.

• Ability to schedule appointments, coordinate calendars, and manage time effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a team and contribute to achieving team goals.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet.

• Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new systems and processes.

• High level of professionalism and integrity.
