Applied Biological Materials Inc. (abm) is a Vancouver-based biotech company that develops and markets research reagents to the life science community and the biotech industry. As we are continuing to grow our business locally and globally, we are looking for a professional, energetic Customer Service Representative who is genuinely excited to help customers to join our team. The successful candidate will have plenty of opportunities for fast track career development while being part of a highly diverse, innovative and interactive cohort of scientists and colleagues.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Professionally manage office front desk area as Receptionist and greet visitors
Handle incoming calls, emails and inquiries as first point of contact for customers, potential clients, partners and other external parties
Effectively communicate with customers to provide support on quotations, orders, payments and shipments
Handle and manage customer inquiries and orders while ensuring high quality and timely responses
Identify and assess customer needs to achieve satisfaction
Resolve emerging issues for customers with accuracy and efficiency
Collaborate with logistics team and customers on product shipment and relevant documentation
Follow up on customer orders, production timeline and shipment statuses
Liaise with production teams and contribute ideas to improve customer satisfaction
Other customer service, order support, office administration and up-selling related tasks
Qualifications
Bachelors degree preferably in Business, Communication or relevant field
Background and/or interest in relevant Life Science fields such as Microbiology, Biochemistry or Biology would be a great asset
Previous experience in customer service, retail or customer care industries
Strong desire to provide exceptional customer support, going above and beyond to ensure excellent service standards and high customer satisfaction
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Positive attitude, pro-active, detail-oriented and possesses a relentless drive to learn and take responsibility
Excellent time management skills, ability to multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving and organization skills
This is an onsite position at our headquarters in Richmond BC. Successful candidate must be able to start working onsite from start date and there will not be relocation allowance.
