Job Summary

The Senior Analyst serves as a key player and value driver for the pricing department. This role conducts and documents complex analysis to assist in strategic financial performance measures and plays an integral role in the overall performance of the pricing department and its customers. This role will support the Strategic Pricing Manager in creating targeted pricing and rebate actions to drive company share of wallet, expand market share, and assist in the development of future state program structure and execution. 

This role should be seen as a combination of strategy, analytics, and best-in-class program execution– engaging in direct exposure within the Pricing department, and cross-functionally with Field Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and Merchandising as required.

Position Performance Measures:

  • Stated targets and metrics associated with primary value drivers associated with role.

  • Help ensure Company meets annual sales, profit, inventory turn and cash conversion cycle responsibilities.

  • Successful deployment of targeted pricing actions to win back and grow business.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implementation of advanced pricing models and methodologies, ensuring accurate reflection of market conditions and cost structures.

  • Execute pricing strategies in alignment with business objectives, market dynamics, and customer value propositions.

  • Develop insights and solutions based on industry / competitive data and customer trends. 

  • Move insights to action, by embedding processes within pricing organization.

  • Analysis of performance metrics, sales trends, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities and risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Econometrics, or other quantitatively rigorous field

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience or equivalent management experience in the field of pricing, merchandising / category management, or finance.

  • Proactiveness & comfort in challenging the status quo and ideating on new & innovative ways to approach ongoing problem statements.

  • Passion for a combination of strategy, data, analytics, and insights.

  • Excitement to take insights and drive to practical answers to generate in-year impact.

  • Comfort with analytics / translator type roles (heavy numbers / numerical focus).

  • Experience in developing ad hoc analysis, leveraging PowerBI dashboards & other reporting/data visualization tools.

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in BI tools, Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Python for data analysis and visualization.

  • Experience in multi-channel pricing, promotion management, dynamic pricing, or loyalty programs.
