Custom Content Project Manager, MIT Sloan Management Review (SMR)

CUSTOM CONTENT PROJECT MANAGER, Sloan School of Management-MIT Sloan Management Review (SMR)-Connection Group, to build relationships and complete successful projects as part of the group responsible for creating and distributing B2B custom content solutions.  Responsibilities include acting as the primary client contact and collaborating with teams from various functional departments; building client relationships and maintaining excellent communications with internal/external partners; coordinating contracts, onboarding, and payment for freelance writers, editors, copyeditors, designers, and other vendors; scheduling team check-ins and project kickoff calls; maintaining current files for all projects and communication setup; managing vendor sourcing outreach and negotiations; and tracking project costs and expenses to maintain profitability and stay within budgetary guidelines.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, business, social sciences, or related field; at least three years’ project management experience; direct client service experience in the context of a creative or professional service; excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills; expertise managing multifaceted projects on time and budget; high-level proficiency with Microsoft Office; and experience with Google Docs and similar collaborative apps, Zoom, Dropbox, and Slack. Seek a client-focused person who is able to use diplomacy when interacting with often-demanding clients; juggle multiple projects and competing deadlines in a fast-paced, fluid, and deadline-driven environment; and work independently and as part of a tight-knit, interdependent team.  PREFERRED

: experience in the B2B custom content publishing industry; certification as a project management professional (PMP) or similar credential; interest in and general knowledge of current business management trends/topics covered by SMR; experience overseeing surveys and related research projects; and knowledge of survey platforms, Asana, and Smartsheet project-management platforms.
