Description

This is a grant-funded position.

The Center for Professional Development in Career and Technical Education in the College of Education and Human Development is a grant-funded program charged with delivering field-based teacher education programming in a specialized setting. The fulltime Office Coordinator will be responsible for providing overall support to all aspects of the Center including but not limited to the essential functions cited below as well as assisting with all financial transactions and reporting. The coordinator will also coordinate staff workshops/ meetings, Professional Development workshops, providing administrative support to the Occupational Competency Assessment (OCA) process, and all CTE certification/Business Computer & Information Technology Education (BCITE)/Marketing program, seminars and new teacher’s orientation.  The incumbent will also perform other duties associated with student file management, audit preparation and compiling documentation as needed.  This position will also assist in event planning and meeting coordination including test applications and proctoring, recruitment, engagement and payments, registration, and room reservations.  The position will report directly to the Assistant Director of CTE Budget and Operations. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:
At least 2 years of substantial experience working in higher education and/or technical college and career and technical education.  Experience working in diverse environments with diverse stakeholders required.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:
* Ability to complete accurate data entry, prepare written reports and PowerPoints, and present information 
* Ability to be detailed oriented and provide accurate and timely information, Ability to seek input and troubleshoot information
* Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and demonstrate cultural competency
* Ability to use initiative, sound judgment, and a detailed knowledge of department and University policies and procedures to solve problems and make good decisions.
*Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills 
* Demonstrated proficiency in using online systems, virtual meeting platforms and work with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint and google suite
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
* Must be able to travel to various locations across the state as needed
* Ability to be flexible and adaptable and work as a team

Preferred:
* Bachelor’s degree in business, education, workforce or human services fields required.   
* Familiarity with higher education and/or technical training and CTE landscape 

This position requires a background check.
This position requires Child Abuse Certifications prior to the commencement of service.
This is a grant funded position.
