Under general to broad direction, the Country Recruitment Coordinator supports the Senior Manager, International Recruitment to ensure that the University meets its strategic objectives and targets by engaging in all aspects of marketing and international student recruitment activities for an assigned geographical region.
The position may require work outside of normal hours with restrictions on taking leave during peak work periods.

Key Position Responsibilities

  • Contributing to the development of operational recruitment plans for designated recruitment markets which directly contribute to the overarching University and College recruitment targets.

  • Contributing towards and support the implementation and operationalisation of Flinders International student recruitment plans and activities including collaboration with the broader International Recruitment team, International Portfolio, OCME and College teams to support student acquisition and ensuring efficiency and effective use of resources.

  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with recruitment agents, partner institutions, prospective students and other organisations that are positioned to promote the University in the international student recruitment sector.

  • Managing high end customer service delivery to prospective students, partners and relevant stakeholders which contribute towards recruitment outcomes for the University within designated recruitment markets.

  • Identifying and recommending to senior staff new initiatives within the regional team and more broadly, the International Recruitment team which will assist in managing campaigns and events to meet recruitment targets

  • Driving engagement activities throughout the student acquisition cycle utilising digital systems including Marketo, Microsoft Dynamics CRM system and other digital platforms to effectively engage with prospective students and manage external client relationships.

  • Professionally and appropriately representing the University at relevant events (forums, international recruitment events & roadshows, etc.) at local, national and international levels.

  • Directly contribute to maintaining positive team culture, a collaborative operational environment and commitment to personal and professional development.

  • Any other responsibilities in line with the level of the role as assigned by the Supervisor and/or the University.

Key Position Capabilities

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated skills, knowledge and relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training.

  • Demonstrated experience and commitment to delivery of high-level customer service including contributing towards a strong client focused culture in a team environment.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working in an international environment preferably international student recruitment and promoting international education.

  • Well-developed analytical skills, including the ability to align activity to achievement of performance-based targets, identify business opportunities and implement operational initiatives to ensure successful delivery of outcomes.

  • Demonstrated experience working in complex situations and with a high level of autonomy in an international environment.

  • Well-developed organisational skills including demonstrated experience in meeting operational objectives for on-going tasks and specific tasks/projects in a complex business environment.

  • Well-developed computing skills including the ability to effectively utilise web and computer-based systems and familiarity with the Microsoft suite of programs and experience in the use of CRM systems.

  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills that contribute to effective operational processes and build constructive relationships.

  • Demonstrated experience working with international students, including an understanding of other cultures and the ability to communicate in a cross-cultural working environment.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian University Higher Education system and an understanding of the Australian international student sector as it relates to international student recruitment.

Prescribed Conditions for Employment:

A National Police Certificate which is satisfactory to the University will be required by Flinders University before the successful applicant can commence in this position.

In addition, it is a requirement of this position that the incumbent maintain a current Working With Children Check which is satisfactory to the University in accordance with the Child Safety (Prohibited Persons) Act 2016 (SA).

An up to date COVID-19 vaccination may be required as a condition of employment, in accordance with the Flinders University COVID-19 Vaccination Policy (2022) .  If required, any offer of employment will be subject to the successful candidate presenting their COVID-19 Digital Certificate as evidence of vaccination or showing evidence of a valid medical exemption, where relevant.
