ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:

The USF office of Corporate Training and Professional Education (CTPE), a 100% auxiliary unit, exists to augment for credit degrees and promote lifelong learning and workforce development. Organizationally CTPE falls under Lifelong Learning which sits under University Community Partnership (led by Dr. Eisenberg). CTPE offers programming to reskill and upskill individuals and companies through open enrollment and corporate training. The courses and programs are facilitated by instructors who are industry leaders and accomplished trainers.

CTPE functions are multi layered and highly complex. The 3 main areas that CTPE operates in are Open Enrollment, Corporate (Captive Sessions) and Registration Support for the entire university for all non-credit activities.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Corporate and Community Relations Coordinator is a mission-critical role responsible for several different functions within the USF Office of Corporate Training and Professional Education (CTPE). This 100% auxiliary position is critical in CTPE achieving the strategic goals and it includes a broad range of administrative responsibilities in support of strategy implementation of the unit. The role would support revenue generated goals by allocating 70% of their time directly working on outreach and building relationships in the community, along with leading marketing and content generation efforts. The overall goal is to increase awareness of CTPE’s role in the community and beyond. 

This position will be responsible for program recruitment and will act in that capacity as the CTPE outreach coordinator and will be assigned community partnership responsibilities. They will be responsible for building, maintaining and nurturing business relationships in the community. It will also be responsible supporting all CTPE program marketing efforts (ranging from being the liaison with other administrative departments, website and social media content, to communications such as press releases, to representing USF CTPE at various community events) and corporate sales administration and support.

This position will report directly to the Associate Director of Corporate Training and Professional Education.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Recruitment and Outreach:

Act as the CTPE outreach coordinator, proactively identifying and engaging potential program participants. Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse range of learners. Collaborate with community partners to promote CTPE programs and build sustainable relationships. Conduct presentations and information sessions to generate interest in CTPE offerings. Advise community and prospective students on program requirements, options and training policies. 

Community Partnership Management:

Cultivate and maintain strong business relationships with organizations and community leaders. Identify partnership opportunities that align with CTPE objectives and enhance program visibility. Collaborate with partners to develop joint initiatives, workshops, and tailored training solutions (Compile and coordinate the submission of new course or program offerings and program revisions, based on feedback from the community as far as training needs). Serve as a point of contact for partner organizations, addressing inquiries and providing support.

Marketing and Communications Support:

Coordinate and support all CTPE program marketing efforts. Liaise with other administrative departments to ensure effective collaboration and timely execution of marketing initiatives. Manage website and social media content, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information. Create and distribute marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and digital assets. Prepare press releases and engage with local media outlets to increase program visibility. Represent USF CTPE at various community events, trade shows, and industry conferences.

Corporate Sales Administration and Support:

Assist in corporate sales activities, including lead generation, prospecting, and pipeline management. Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for business expansion and revenue growth. Provide administrative support for corporate sales, including contract management and customer relationship management (CRM) system updates. Assist in preparing sales presentations and proposals to potential corporate clients. Coordinate the recruitment and credentialing of facilitators, develop and manage the program schedule for corporate clients. Coordinate corporate client logistics to ensure seamless delivery of training. Ensure sufficient inventory of corporate literature for distribution and coordinate the purchase of such literature with the Operations Manager.

Performs other duties as required to meet the overall mission, goals, and objectives of the program area.

 

QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience)

Minimum:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a field directly related to the program responsibilities and two years of professional experience; or Master’s degree in an area of specialization appropriate for the program.

Preferred:

Master’s degree in Marketing / Mass Communications, Business or a related major and 2 years of experience in a related field.  Preferred: MBA. Preferred skills include, but are not limited to: problem solving, organizational, resilience and adaptability skills and dedication to customer service.  Self-motivated, takes ownership and someone who is driven to succeed and drive business as a member of an integrated team.
