Core Technician

Applications are invited from individuals who have a hardworking and enthusiastic attitude to join the institute of Life Course and Medical Sciences Technical team. You will contribute to enhancing technical support for the department of Women¿s and Children¿s Health in two specialist clinical research facilities: Institute in the Park, Alder Hey NHS Hospital and Centre for Women¿s Health Research, Liverpool Women¿s NHS foundation trust.

You will be required to work at both WCH sites overseeing day-to-day organisation and operational support of the laboratories and equipment. You must be able to work independently and effectively within a team, able to embrace change and apply a flexible and can-do facilitative approach when supporting our varied research and teaching activities.

You should be educated to a BTEC Higher Level or an equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline and possess the relevant laboratory-based skills.  You should be committed to continually develop in a variety of modern research methods and technologies.
