The key components of the role are:

  • Contributing to the development, delivery and exploitation of high quality, customer-focussed library services of University of the Arts London (UAL)
  • Providing copyright advice and support to Library & Student Support staff and the academic community.
  • Ensuring that we are exploiting licences and exceptions in relation to learning, teaching (including online courses) and research
  • Providing policy and guidance as well as a point of referral for queries relating to copyright issues.
  • Develop and lead on the implementation of copyright strategy for the library service.

We are looking for someone with a degree level qualification and relevant work experience. A recognised library qualification or relevant experience in other education or information roles and related disciplines is desirable (e.g. CILIP accreditation, non-academic library or archives experience, NVQs or apprenticeship, library or teaching postgraduate cert/dip/MA/MSc). You will have an enthusiasm for delivering an imaginative, student-centred service and an awareness of inclusion and diversity work in libraries.
