Coordinator (m/f/d) | International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) for Brain and Behavior

 The Max Planck Institute for Neurobiology of Behavior – caesar (MPINB) located in Bonn, Germany, is a neuroethology institute focusing on the neural mechanisms underlying animal behavior. Together with our partners, the University of Bonn and the DZNE, we run an international funded PhD program and are currently looking for a Coordinator (m/f/d) for the International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) for Brain and Behavior  (full time).

You will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operation of the graduate school and facilitating the recruitment and selection of outstanding international PhD students. You will assist students in organizational matters and organize scientific and social events. You will be the first point of contact for IMPRS faculty and committees and assist the IMPRS speaker in managing the budget. In addition, you will be responsible for the IMPRS homepage and the worldwide promotion of the program and liaise with other Bonn-based neuroscience graduate programs.

We seek an enthusiastic, self-motivated person who works independently and has excellent communication and organizational skills. An outstanding written and spoken knowledge of English is required as is at least a B1 level of German. Brief periods of international travel will be required.

Previous experience in scientific education and research is highly desirable. Preferably, you hold a graduate degree in the sciences and have already worked in a scientific or educational environment.
