Job Summary Serves as a coordinator of the Safety and Health Program, providing professional administrative and managerial support in all aspects of its creation, development, operation, fiscal management, and administration. Maintains effective relationships and communication with management, clients, instructors, training sites and staff to achieve the program’s goals, objectives and positive financial results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides administrative and managerial support handling information requests and supervising the consistency and quality of instructional activities. Manage the daily operations which includes enrollment, scheduling, identification of training sites, and fiscal management.
  • Coordinates OSHA training activities and reporting to ensure compliance with program policies and procedures Requires a thorough understanding of the functions, programs, and policies of the program, the University and the Division. Coordinate and collaborate with support staff, instructional personnel, management, external vendors and clients to ensure program success.
  • Performs support functions such as preparing correspondence, arranging conference calls, scheduling meetings, and preparing various management reports. Fiscal Management includes invoicing, contract negotiation and billing, conflict resolution and responding to inquiries.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • College Degree in related discipline and 2-years of experience in increasingly responsible administrative and coordination experience for a complex education or training organization.
  • Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
  • Some evening and weekend work may be required.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline or equivalent experience coordinating a complex organization.
  • Experience in general accounting and fiscal management.

Working Conditions May work around standard office conditions. Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation. Use of manual dexterity.

Other requirements:
Some evening and weekend work may be required. Occasional travel may be required.
Special Conditions for Eligibility Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Requires knowledge of personal computer and other standard office equipment. Proficient in Microsoft Office, and automated business management systems. Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and customer service oriented.
