Job description

You will be part of the Double Degree team, consisting of the Manager Double Degree and Network Programmes, Coordinator Double Degree and Network Programmes and a student assistant. As Coordinator, you will coordinate, organise and support the complete process of incoming and outgoing Double Degree students.

You will act as the main contact person for both incoming and outgoing Double Degree students who have questions and want advice regarding their programme.

You will be responsible for developing and updating all information materials on the Double Degree and Network Programmes opportunities, including managing and editing the relevant webpages.

You will promote the Double Degree and Network Programme opportunities during several events, such as the Open Day and Information Meetings on Studying Abroad; you will remain up to date about the latest innovations regarding Internationalization and you are able to implement these, always keeping the SBE rules and regulations in mind. You organise informal meetings with the Double Degree students and you provide support during the introduction day of the students twice per academic year. Administrative matters such as registering the students for courses, registration at their host university and assisting with visa processes are also part of your duties, you will maintain regular contact with the partners. You enjoy working in a small team in an international setting and enjoy the challenges this entails.

Requirements

  • You are able to work at an HBO+ level and be international oriented;
  • You have extensive experience in and affinity with organizational, advisory and administrative tasks;
  • Familiarity with the organizational and educational structure of Maastricht University in general, and specifically the School of Business and Economics is a plus.
  • Proficiency of the English and Dutch language; active knowledge of any other foreign language is a plus;
  • You are customer focused and have excellent organizational skills;
  • You know how to implement and improve administrative processes;
  • You are accurate, tactful, independent, pro-active and can handle stress;
  • You like working in a team;
  • You do not have a nine-to-five job attitude;
  • If requested you are willing to travel to visit partner universities or to attend international conferences.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: We offer a 1.0 fte appointment for one year. In case of good performance this will be extended.

Remuneration will be according to standard salary levels, depending on education and relevant work experience, in salary scale 8 (€ 2.818 and € 3.764 based on a fulltime appointment, a starting scale might apply), according to the collective labour agreement (CAO) of Dutch Universities, including 8% holiday pay and an 8,3% end of year payment.

Within the framework of the university job structure (UFO), the position is in the category “Internationalisation Officer, level 3”.
