Job Summary | We are seeking applicants to assist with coordination of the general psychiatry residency program, its research track, and related training conferences and events. Applicants will have the opportunity to assist with the expanding educational mission at the Huntsman Mental Health Institute. Applicants will also be asked to assist with some administrative duties including scheduling meetings, preparing forms, maintaining records, and managing correspondence related to the above projects. |
Responsibilities | Coordinate residency training programs by supporting academic program managers and faculty members in developing and implementing educational programs, collaborating with Graduate Medical Education (GME) and related University departments, organizing and scheduling meetings and activities, processing project reports, and providing input in evaluating and redesigning services to better meet program objectives. Other administrative duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus one year directly related experience or equivalency required (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education). Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content. Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description. |
Preferences | Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus two years related work experience. Prior graduate medical education experience is preferred. Strong organizational skills are required to prioritize and meet deadlines. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is necessary. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required. |
