POSITION SUMMARY

Support the strategic implementation of the MillerKnoll Performance System (MKPS) in operations. Coach, teach, and mentor team members on MKPS approach.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist implementation of A3 targets set by department managers.
  • Coach, teach, and mentor HMPS tools and philosophies.
  • Conduct and participate in frequent reflection activities with coaches, managers, WTLs, and students.
  • Conduct HMPS workshops/learning activities for employee groups.
  • Create a work environment where employees are encouraged to take risks and share improvement ideas.
  • Create, update, and follow a coaching plan to develop team leaders and facilitators.
  • Implement continuous improvement within assigned manufacturing operation.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested.
  • Perform training and development activities within Model areas.
  • Support kaizen activities throughout assigned manufacturing operation.
  • Teach and practice Problem Solving Approach, including 5-why analysis.
  • Implement continuous improvement within assigned manufacturing operation
  • Additional responsibilities as requested by Management to achieve business objectives.

Education/Experience

  • Associate or bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must be able to document a Standardized Work condition (Standardized work forms, work balance chart, able to do time observations).
  • Possess skills and ability to identify 7 forms of waste, overburden, unevenness and fluctuation.
  • Knowledge of and ability to explain the 4 Philosophies of HMPS, True North, HMPS tools, and how all of these are related (pocket card).
  • Able to practice and document kaizen (Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA), scientific method).
  • Demonstrated ability to teach others, build effective relationships, flexible and able to both implement and manage change effectively.
  • Exhibits a willingness to help others and eagerness to learn.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use office automation/communication software and tools currently being used in the HMI office environment.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.

Compensation range for this role is $75,000.00 – $85,000.00. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors.
