About Strategy and Culture 
The Strategy and Culture Portfolio works collaboratively across the University to support the development and delivery of the University’s strategic plan Advancing Melbourne. The portfolio is responsible for overseeing strategy and planning; policy; governance; and government, civic and community engagement at a whole-of-University level. 

About the Role 
As the Content Coordinator, you will be responsible for generating and managing highly engaging multimedia content across multiple platforms, employing high-level storytelling techniques to bring faculty marketing campaigns to life. Reporting to the Marketing Lead, you will be responsible for identification, production and curation of content across publications, paid and owned channels to support divisional marketing communications initiatives, working with external vendors and internal stakeholders as required. Your role will also deliver project management tasks including timelines, tracking of project activities and deliverables as required. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Manage the marketing content library, encompassing content pieces to support divisional audience advocacy, acquisition and retention objectives (spanning students, alumni and research/industry) 

  • Provide strong creative input, coordination and planning skills across team activities including, but not limited to, the development of marketing communications collateral, photography and video 

  • Delivery of project management tasks including timelines, tracking of project activities and deliverables, supplier liaison and reporting as required 

  • Develop, produce, curate and disseminate engaging content for use across printed and online publications, digital media, social channels, web and EDMs 

About You 
To be successful in this role, you will be a confident collaborator who can easily build and maintain long lasting relationships with a wide range of stakeholders from various communities. Your advanced verbal and written communication skills will assist you in working effectively independently and/or in a team to ensure your assigned workload is met with tight deadlines. You will be a self-motivator who fosters a high achievement work environment by consecutively portraying professionalism at a high standard throughout your workplace.  

You will also have: 

  • A degree with relevant experience, or extensive experience and specialist expertise in communications or marketing, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training 

  • Expertise in the production of targeted, engaging communications for print, digital and social channels 

  • Experience on executing marketing campaigns, developing multimedia content and marketing project delivery 

  • Demonstrated presentation skills
