CONTENT & EVENTS COORDINATOR

The Content & Events Coordinator will connect with the Impact Kitchen Community through social media channels and community events. This role will be responsible for developing and delivering Impact Kitchen’s Social Media strategy, representing Impact Kitchen at community events and capturing social media content. The successful candidate will work closely with the Content Manager to create engaging social media strategies and serve as a Brand Ambassador both behind the scenes and at Community Events. Our Content & Events Coordinator truly has an opportunity to make an impact everyday.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The Content & Events Coordinator will balance a Monday to Friday schedule with flexibility to work evenings & weekends in order to attend community events. The Content & Events Coordinator will also spend key strategic time in our restaurants interacting with our teams and ensuring the broad Impact Kitchen ecosystem is set up for success. This key contributor to team Impact will work 40 hours per week on a full-time basis. Ability to travel to our restaurants and throughout Toronto’s core is a must for success in this role.

COMPENSATION 

The Content & Events Coordinator is entitled to an annual salary aligned with experience, 2 weeks of vacation, benefits, a 50% discount on Impact Kitchen products and a meal allowance to keep you fueled up while you work. 

TEAM & DEPARTMENT

Reporting to Impact Kitchen’s Content Manager and a member of the Marketing & Partnerships team,  the Content & Events Coordinator will be an integral part of our Impact Kitchen team and support business development by engaging our community. 

  CORE RESPONSIBILITIES   

Social Media

  • Connect with the Impact Kitchen (IK) Community through @ImpactKitchen social media channels, with a focus on delivering IK’s key marketing messages 

  • Develop & deliver on IK social media strategy with a focus on growth & engagement 

  • Manage the day-to-day posts, comments & feedback across all IK social channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X & other emerging platforms. 

  • Create, Post, Manage & Reflect on all organic content on all channels including follower engagement  (videos, stills + copy)

  • Create, Post, Manage & Reflect on all paid content on all channels, including creator engagement (videos, stills + copy)

  • Research & share arising trends, ideas & strategies to help grow followers & engagements on all existing & emerging social channels  

  • Facilitate Impact Blog posts (3x per month) & manage blog distribution across relevant social channels to maximize engagement 

  • Work with the Content Manager to align on Photography needs for all social channels on an ongoing basis

     

    Community Events

  • Connect with the Community (customers, community organizations & local businesses) to develop localized relationships as a representative of Impact Kitchen’s values 

  • Develop IK’s annual event calendar, ensuring we are hosting, attending & supplying relevant events to grow the Impact brand 

  • Plan & execute 2x events per quarter to engage the community

  • Represent IK at all events (owned & attended), with a focus on event coordination and capturing social content 

    QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 2-3+ years of relevant Marketing experience required

  • Video content production skills are required 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to work in both a standing and seated position for extended periods of time

  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask when required

  • G driver’s license with a clean driving record is an asset but not required
