Reporting to the Director, Office of Experiential Education & UNB Manager, Fredericton Downtown Community Health Centre, the Community Development Officer will work collaboratively with the Office of Experiential Education, the FDCHC and its network of community partners to create experiential learning opportunities for students, introducing them to health-related career pathways and potential future employers.

The Office of Experiential Education works collaboratively with academic and support units at UNB and with external partners to support, strengthen, and grow experiential learning opportunities for UNB students.
The Fredericton Downtown Community Health Centre (FDCHC) is a partnership between the University of New Brunswick (UNB) and Horizon Health Network (HHN). The unique relationship allows for the provision of low barrier, equity oriented, trauma informed primary health care services to priority populations in downtown Fredericton while also serving as a “living laboratory” where the delivery of primary health care services is integrated with teaching, research, and community development. It is the only model of its kind in Canada.
This position is part of the PSAC, Local 60551 employee group and falls under the PTSU Collective Agreement.
