| Job Summary | The Office of Advancement engages with the university’s constituency – alumni, donors, and friends – to support the strategic priorities and academic mission of the institution. Reporting to the Director, Annual Giving, the Communication Officer, Annual Giving will play an active role in inspiring alumni and friends to invest in Dalhousie’s vision of the future and is responsible for implementing fundraising strategies to grow the Annual Giving program. |

| Note | The successful applicant may work in-person on campus, primarily remotely, or perform a hybrid of the two as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements. Dalhousie’s vaccine mandate has been suspended at this time, and employees no longer need to provide proof of full vaccination. | Qualifications | Undergraduate degree in communications or public relations or related area with approximately three to five years’ experience in communications, fundraising, client relations or a related field, ideally, in a post-secondary environment (or equivalent combination of training and experience) is required. Exceptional written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are essential. Business acumen, maturity and diplomacy in dealing with donors and senior level faculty and administrative personnel is required. Must thrive on working in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment. |
