Communications and Event Coordinator (Hybrid) Med-Office of the Dean–Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh–(22008678) The University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine, Med-Office of the Dean is seeking a qualified Communications and Events Coordinator to support the Office of Student Affairs.This position will be responsible for managing communication to medical students, staff, and faculty. This includes designing, creating and maintaining the Office of Student Affairs social media sites and websites. Additionally, this position will manage the coordination and execution of all details for the Office of Student Affairs events. As the key facilitator and organizer, this would include, but not limited to securing event location and space requirements, scheduling presenters, coordinating the production of event marketing materials and programs, maintaining the RSVP responses, and coordinating catering arrangements. Continuous communication and collaboration with other team members and key players is essential to ensure each event is successfully executed. Prior experience in Student Affairs preferable. A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.The position requires: Strong organization and planning skills along with time management and problem-solving skills. Excellent analytical and communication skills – able to easily communicate efficiently, effectively and tactfully with a diverse group of people. Need to have an intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Office Professional programs, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Social media experience is needed to be successful in this role.
