Ivy Tech Community College

Serve as the statewide College Registrar and represent Ivy Tech Community College in this function, both internally and externally.

Provide leadership for processes and system support related to student records and academic information systems. Create and recommend policy and procedures relative to student records issues to ensure continuous improvement, including identifying efficiencies.

Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations relating to student records by establishing and overseeing policies and procedures related to access, privacy, and security of student information, with a particular regard to meeting legal requirements such as FERPA.

Serve as the primary resource to the campuses in matters relating to admissions records, registration, and student records processes and procedures.

Provide leadership for the campus Registrars and their staffs.

Manage the current student information systems relating to student and academic records (including Banner, CollegeSource, and the collegewide curricula of record) for credit records.

Lead the college’s migration from Ellucian’s Banner Student Information System (SIS) to Workday Student from an academic perspective.

Provide overall leadership and strategic direction related to ongoing and anticipated projects connected to credit for prior learning, reverse transfer, comprehensive learning and employment records (LER), as well as projects associated with the College’s retention and completion goals.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of posted information related to student and academic records on all college-maintained published and web-base sites.

Coordinate National Student Clearinghouse and Parchment responsibilities, to include submission of Student Status Confirmation Reports on a regular and timely basis, response to Degree Verify inquiries, and management of the online transcript ordering solution.

Maintain the College’s academic program inventory.

Respond to student data requests and other required submissons from state and federal agencies, including the Indiana Commission for Higher Education.

Other responsibilities may include responding to ad hoc report requests, providing relevant training to campus and College staff, and serving on relevant committees.
