Co-curricular Lead

  • Design and deliver co-curricular programs for various student cohorts across the University

  • Full-time, fixed term 12-month contract with an ideal start date of early December 2022

  • Base Salary $111,966 to $126,271 + 17% superannuation 

About the opportunity

As the Co-curricular Lead, you will design and deliver co-curricular programs for various student cohorts across the University, including peer mentoring, leadership programs and international student support.

Reporting to the Head of Student Life and leading a small team, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • collaborate with the Student Life team to develop programs, initiatives, and events for co-curricular programs

  • partner with students to ensure student-centric approaches

  • coordinate university-wide approach to co-curricular programs and work with stakeholders across Faculties and PSUs

  • develop communications to increase awareness and effectiveness of co-curricular programs

  • collaborate with the Managers within PVC Student Life Cluster to develop and deliver programs

  • work with the Analytics team to understand metrics & develop student support strategies & programs

  • maintain relationships with student societies & understand policies & frameworks governing student societies.

About you

  • experience in student careers, wellbeing promotion, or prevention work in tertiary education

  • proven ability to run large-scale participation programs, including content development

  • knowledge of relevant legislation obligations affecting students with mental health and wellbeing issues

  • experience planning and developing events and ability to manage competing priorities

  • strong stakeholder engagement skills within medium to large organisations

  • proven experience leading, mentoring and managing small teams.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
