Posting Summary The Rutgers University School of Nursing-Camden has an RN-BS, a traditional, and a second degree baccalaureate nursing program as well as a DNP nurse practitioner program with multiple tracks (AGNP and FNP), and a planned interdisciplinary PhD program with emphases in translational science for population health.
The SNC invites applications for a clinical Teaching Professor position. Successful candidates for this faculty position will have excellent communication and teaching skills, a successful teaching history, a record of scholarly publications, and a program of research.
The responsibilities incumbent in the positions will include: teaching across programs, active scholarship and service to the School and the Community. Clinical experience in community with a strong focus on population health: pediatrics and adult health.
COVID-19 Immunization Requirement Rutgers University requires all new employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the employee a medical or religious exemption. Employees who are not eligible for a booster at the time of an offer of employment provide proof they have received a booster upon eligibility and upload proof of same. Based on current guidance, individuals are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks after receiving the final dose of a vaccine approved or authorized for emergency use in the United States or a vaccine that has been listed for emergency use by the World Health Organization. Eligibility for a booster against COVID-19 varies and is explained on the University’s web site located at https://coronavirus.rutgers.edu/covid-19-vaccine . Failure to provide proof of primary vaccination and booster will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • A clinical doctorate in nursing or a related field (DNP, PhD or EdD required)
  • A graduate degree (doctoral and/or master’s) in nursing
  • Recognized scholarly experience as evidenced by academic accomplishments, publications, and service commensurate with the rank of appointment
  • Teaching experience/expertise
  • A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to diversity
  • The ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of audiences
Certifications/Licenses
  • Licensure or eligibility for Registered Nurse licensure in the state of New Jersey

The Rutgers School of Nursing-Camden Center for Excellence in Inter-professional Practice, Education, and Innovation (CEIPEI) provides opportunities for active learning, promotes inter-professional collaboration, and stimulates innovation in nursing education and practice. The CEIPEI is accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) . The Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Education Program (WOCNEP), a certificate within the School of Nursing’s graduate program, is currently the only accredited graduate level WOC program in the United States. Offered in both online and on-campus formats, the WOCNEP recruits students from across the nation. Our MSN in School Health is the first School Nurse Certificate Program based upon the National Association of School Nurses’ (NASN) Framework for the 21st Century School Nursing Practice™.
