Position overview

ANU has an international reputation for research and education relevant to the health and well-being of the population of Australia, as well as that of the developing world. This is achieved through discovery research, applied research in health service settings, research-led teaching in health and medical sciences, and the translation of research findings into practice and policy. The ANU College of Health and Medicine comprises the School of Medicine and Psychology, the John Curtin School of Medical Research and the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health. These schools work together to deliver world-class research and education across the spectrum of medicine and health-related fields, working in partnership with the health sector at local, national and international levels. 

The School seeks expressions of interest from registered medical practitioners and professionals in related fields who have a passion for teaching. Teaching Phase 1 Clinical skills teaching of the Medical program. There is a team of highly skilled and motivated clinical educators that deliver this component of the MChD. We are now seeking to create a casual pool that can support the team during periods of intense workload, absence etc. 

Clinical tutors are responsible for the face-to-face delivery of small group clinical and procedural learning workshops. The clinical skills teaching is delivered at the Canberra Clinical Schools and usually delivered on a Tuesday or Thursday. The workshop topics include (but not limited to): Medical history taking, Physical examinations, Procedural skills and test interpretations.
