Clinical Senior Lecturer / Clinical Reader / Clinical Chair in Psychiatry (or psychiatry subspeciality)

Job summary

Are you a dedicated, enthusiastic, and talented clinical academic psychiatrist at an early-stage in your career or a principal investigator with established research programmes in the broad area of Psychiatry? If so, this is your opportunity to join the Division of Psychiatry, part of the Department of Brain Sciences, where we offer an exciting academic opportunity within an integrated and supportive environment.

You will have a track record of successfully securing research grants, high-quality research publication and experience in teaching, and your work may complement our existing areas of research which include addiction, mood instability, eating disorders, personality disorder and therapeutic application of psychedelic drugs or bring a new area eg dementia.

To excel in this role you will have, or will be developing, a national and/or an international reputation and a record of excellent research in your field. You will be collaborative, able to build and sustain effective working relationships, and will have strong communication and leadership skills, with experience of training students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Your clinical work (up to 3 sessions) will be negotiated to be undertaken either in Central North West London NHS Foundation Trust or West London NHS Trust as appropriate to your research area.
