ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

The responsibilities of the dually located Nurse Case Manager, working in both the jail and the community, will be to deliver strength-based case management services to enrolled participants.

He/She will also assist with the program coordination aspects of the project that do not touch on evaluation. We aim to hire a nurse in this role because a clinical background is important in planning for individuals’ access medications after jail. Currently, long-acting antiretroviral medications are not on the formularies of the AIDS Drug Assistance Program for Georgia and most health insurance companies. Paperwork for the manufacturer’s Patient Assistance Program requires supplying clinical details. In the future, the drug will likely require prior authorization paperwork. Prior authorizations typically require data from the medical history. Thus, the need for clinical expertise will likely continue into the future. He/She will devote 9.36 calendar months for the duration of the project.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia and one year of related nursing experience.
  • This position must be credentialed through Emory Healthcare under the RNII category.

To ensure the safety of our campus community, the COVID-19 vaccine is required. For more information on the University and Hospital policies and potential exemptions, please see our website.
