Oxford Population Health (Nuffield Department of Population Health) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. The Clinical Trial Service Unit (CTSU) is a major international research institute within NDPH, and is one of the world’s leading centres for research into chronic diseases, especially heart disease, kidney disease and cancer.

We are seeking a Clinical Research Fellow to work on EMPA-KIDNEY which is comparing empagliflozin with placebo among about 6000 people with chronic kidney disease in 8 countries worldwide. Working within an established research team you will assist in clinical aspects of running ongoing renal trials including EMPA-KIDNEY post-trial follow-up, development of new renal trials, and supporting the reporting of EMPA-KIDNEY results scientifically and to regulators.

To be considered for this role you will be medically qualified, GMC registered with a valid licence to practice and a Member or Fellow, of a relevant Royal College (or equivalent). You will also need a good grounding in clinical medicine and excellent communication and organisational skills.

The post is full time (although part time will be considered) and fixed term for 2 years in the first instance. The closing date for applications is noon on 27th September 2022.
