| Organizational Unit Overview | It is the mission of the Department of Pediatrics, East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine, to provide exemplary medical education/training of physicians in pediatric medicine at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, it is the mission of the department to provide model comprehensive primary and consultative subspecialty care to children of eastern North Carolina, to advance scientific knowledge through basic and clinical research, and to provide continuing medical education opportunities for physicians in the region. |
| Job Duties | The Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for the following duties: – Assisting trial investigator in screening and enrolling of potential patients for clinical trials – Maintaining case report forms, charts and documentation – Ensuring that all clinical activities are carried out in accordance with established research protocol and standards in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedural requirement – Processing lab samples – Collecting and entering data as necessary – Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned – Ability to be flexible with study assignments – Familiarity with Code of Federal Regulations as they pertain to human subject protection – Detailed oriented – Excellent communication utilizing interpersonal skills – Organization CLINICAL SUPPORT POSITION– NOT SUBJECT TO STATE HUMAN RESOURCES ACT The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University is affiliated with ECU Health Medical Center, which serves as it’s teaching hospital, as well as the flagship hospital for ECU Health. |
| Minimum Education/Experience | Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
