RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS).
Position summary
The Department of Allergy and Immunology is involved in clinical research projects focusing on food and drug allergy as well as immunologic causes of infertility. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the clinical research coordinator will organize day-to-day operations of an exciting set of studies focusing on these subjects.
ROLE:
The clinical research coordinator will be responsible for supporting and coordinating all aspects of study execution. The clinical research coordinator will also play a role in data management and analysis.
General Duties
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Participates in the implementation of study protocols, and optimizes organizational and operational efficiency, includes working closely with in managing patient visits
• Establishes priorities, ensures adherence to study timelines and quality of output, and provides timely study updates/reports, is responsible for scheduling of patient visits
• Prepares and maintains study documents and materials, informed consent documents, standard operating procedures, tracking logs, and case report forms
• Assists with the creation of a centralized database, maintains study records and ensures proper storage of data in the centralized database
• Maintains study finances including budget, submits payment requisitions, coordinating invoices from collaborating centers if applicable,
• Ensures appropriate inventory and purchases equipment and material
• Assists with subject recruitment and data entry
• Performs other duties as required or assigned by the Program Leader
• Develops collaborative partnerships across various research constituencies within the Research Program, including research teams, investigators and external collaborators
Education / Experience
Education: Master’s Degree
Field of Study: Health related field
Work Experience: Experience in clinical research experience /management/ coordination either in a hospital or university setting
Required Skills
• Excellent French and English, spoken and written
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision
• Self-directed, organized, detail oriented, proactive, team player
• Strong project management skills
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, RedCap) an asset.
Additional information
Status: Temporary Full-Time (35-hour workweek)
Contract renewable yearly
Pay Scale: $43,316.00 to $80,425.80. Commensurate with education & work experience.
Work Shift: Work shift: from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mondays to Fridays. Three days on site, two days remotely.
