Job Description:

PPC Training Coordinator

  • Coordinate generalist and clinical field placements for graduate level students in pediatric pulmonary clinics. Meet with trainees weekly, monitor progress on individual education plans, meets with field liaisons once per semester, establishes corrective action plans when necessary, and submits midterm and final evaluations for each placement. Maintains and establishes active agreements and working partnerships with colleges and universities to best serve grant goals. Interviews candidates, provides onboarding assistance, and training regarding clinical practice, internal systems, and protocols. Supports students as they maintain an active caseload and complete capstone projects.
  • Participates in weekly PPC faculty meetings to assist with ongoing grant goals and projects. Develops linkages with providers and community services, provides technical assistance to community partners and faculty, and presents on various MCHB topics during core curriculum each semester for graduate students. Contributes to ongoing PPC faculty initiates as defined by grant cycle goals.

Cystic Fibrosis Coordinator

  • Coordinates psychosocial, hospital, and community-based services to patients and their families during weekly CF clinic and quarterly CF transition clinic
  • Assesses, plans, implements and monitors plans of care in collaboration with the treatment team. Advocates on behalf of the patient. Works to provide direct services, resources, and counseling to meet best practice standards. Provides expertise in crisis intervention situations and assesses for potential abuse/neglect of vulnerable patients
  • Attends weekly CF chart review meetings, oversees and implements quality improvement programs and initiatives, including the CF healthcare transition program and CF Family Advisory Board, and participates in relevant CF trainings and initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned
Expected Salary:

$52,500 annually

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid License Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida.
  • Valid Qualified Supervisor license in the state of Florida. 2 years of experience serving families and children with special healthcare needs
  • Experience supervising graduate student interns in a clinical social work setting.
  • Experience overseeing and directly ongoing quality improvement projects. Experience working with state and federal grants.
