The Entrepreneurship Department at the University of St. Thomas Opus College of Business invites applications for a full-time, clinical faculty position in Entrepreneurship, beginning in September 2023. Clinical appointments will be without tenure and are not tenure-track appointments. Primary duties of the position include teaching a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses including Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Design Thinking, New Venture Strategy, Contemporary Business Planning capstone, and New Venture Finance; active engagement with the Entrepreneurship academy and community; and service to the college and university, for example supporting and leading student teams in national business plan competitions and registration advising.
The Opus College of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International. The college offers an undergraduate concentration in Entrepreneurship. The Schulze School of Entrepreneurship was recently ranked the 23rd best Entrepreneurship program in the nation and 1st in Minnesota. The college also offers a minor in Entrepreneurship and several graduate level courses.

Minimum Qualifications
- M.B.A. or Master’s degree in a traditional business discipline or closely related field (U.S. or foreign equivalent)
- Experience or demonstrated ability to teach in an educational institution or corporate/executive setting
- Direct experience in the area of entrepreneurship. This might include, but is not limited to, starting and running a business, consulting with startups and small businesses, and financing new ventures.
- Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and student engagement and in engaging in service to the Entrepreneurship Department, the Opus College of Business, and the University of St. Thomas.
The successful candidate must be willing and able to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Entrepreneurship, and in several formats, for example fully synchronous online. We are interested in candidates who have a demonstrated commitment to providing leadership in teaching, professional engagement, or service toward building an equitable and diverse academic environment.
Candidates should show strong promise to contribute to the intellectual and practical lives of students and other stakeholders and to remain current in the field through professional practice, content creation, and engagement with the local business community. Doing so entails a commitment to play an integral role in the Opus College of Business and its mission to develop “effective, principled business leaders who think globally, act ethically and create enduring value for society.”
