The Department of Medicine, Divisions of Rheumatology and Nephrology POD (DRN POD) have an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Clinical Business Operations Representative (CBOR). The CBOR is responsible for supporting various clinical specialties, program, and initiatives within the DRN POD. An employee in this position will facilitate communications between the physicians, patients, and nursing staff from both Divisions. The incumbent will exercise considerable independent judgment and discretion in managing and carrying out daily activities while adhering to policies and procedures. This role will also assist patients in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner and ensure adherence to divisional and departmental service standards.

Answering and triaging both Rheumatology and Nephrology phone lines.

Daily monitoring of the In-basket messages, divisions mailbox and faxes.

Collaborates with scheduling departments to identify add-on patients or schedule add-ons as needed.

Schedule or reschedule appointments as needed for both divisions.

Collaborate with insurance companies and pharmacies to ensure patients medications, procedures and admissions are authorized or covered.

Distribute faxes to appropriate parties and upload results in UChart.

Check and distribute mails several times a week.

Coverage for other staff member in either division

Provide AVS to pts/referred providers upon request by clinician (s)

Pending lab orders in UChart, as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

Medical knowledge preferred.

UChart experience preferred.

Demonstrates organizational skills

Demonstrates ability to multi-task

Bilingual (English/ Spanish) Preferred.
Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
