Position Summary Indiana University seeks to appoint a Clinical Assistant Professor of Curriculum and Instruction: Arts Education in the School of Education, Bloomington beginning with the fall semester of the 2023 – 2024 academic year. This is a search for a full-time 10-month position. The Arts Education program seeks applicants with expertise in equitable and inclusive learning environments and a broad knowledge of the field of visual art education and performative dramatic arts, within an emergent pedagogical theories and areas of inquiry. The successful applicant will be expected to facilitate core and elective courses to undergraduate and graduate students in the Arts Education program, supervise visual art education practicum students, and contribute to advising and instructing students in seven-degree programs. Responsibilities for this position include:
· Teach six undergraduate and/or graduate core and elective courses in a broad range of methods and topical arts education subjects in person and/or online;
· Supervise arts education students in practicum field experiences;
· Coordinate and supervise curricula and instruction provided by adjunct and associate instructors (AIs);
· Assist with supervision of undergraduate and graduate students;
· Develop and maintain an agenda of exhibitions, presentations, professional publication and/or creative activity according to your preferred interest;
· Contribute to service activities at levels commensurate with peers.

Basic Qualifications The required qualifications are:
1. Earned doctorate degree in Art Education or comparable field. If a candidate is ABD the degree must be awarded by July 30, 2023.
2. Evidence of experience in designing curricula and delivering instruction in Arts Education.
3. Evidence in designing curricula and delivering instruction that emerges from a strong Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Antiracism (EDIA) position.

3. Evidence of your own artistic passions, creative, scholarly activity, such as publication in professional/teaching journals, presentations at national conferences, art exhibitions and/or public performance.
