Job Description:

The Classroom Support team is responsible for the installation, configuration, and support of all technology and equipment in roughly 250 classrooms across campus. This work includes both on-site and remote real-time support/consultations for faculty. 
Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:

  • Provide exceptional technical support for instructors in the classrooms via phone, remote assistance, email/ticketing, and in person 
  • Install and configure complex audio-visual and IT hardware in classrooms 
  • Troubleshoot complex AV and IT issues in classrooms 
  • Develop and lead project work plans related to classroom equipment upgrades and enhancements 
  • Develop documentation and provide training for peers 
  • Evaluate and create standards for new equipment and software 
  • Engage instructors and peers to understand evolving classroom technology needs and develop solutions

Benefits

Full-time TEAMS employees will accrue vacation leave at a rate of 6.769 hours biweekly/22 days annually and sick leave at a rate of 4 hours biweekly/13 days annually.  In addition, employees are eligible for ten paid holidays each year.

Vacation accruing TEAMS employees are eligible for four personal leave days/32 hours per year, assuming full-time status, and are intended to give the flexibility to enable units to close from December 26 to 31 when possible, determined on a unit-by-unit basis.

Expected Salary:

$18.19 – $19.16 per hour; commensurate based on education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Associate’s degree; or a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience.

The ideal candidate will possess the following education, experience, and skills:

  • Accuracy, attention to detail and a customer service-oriented approach and mindset.
  • Awareness of current standards and trends in IT/AV and emerging technology
  •  Work collaboratively and build strategic relationships with both internal and external clients.
  • Provide excellent service through professional and courteous interactions with internal and external stakeholders while meeting business needs.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, customer focused, critical production support and development environment.
