Civic House WPTP Van Driver

Job Profile Title

Temporary Employee – Non-Exempt

Job Description Summary

The van driver position is a part-time six-month position. The van driver will safely operate the Civic House twelve-passenger van to transport Penn students to partner sites located in West Philidelphia. On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, students will be driven to James Rhoads School at 1:15pm and will be picked up at around 2:45pm. On these same days, students will be driven to Morton School at 9:30am and will be picked up at around 11am. Finally, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, students will be driven to Middle Years Alternative at 10am and will be driven back at around 11:40am. Working knowledge of the Philadelphia area, particularly the University City and West Philadelphia areas, is highly desired. On some occasions, the driver will transport equipment/materials. No loading or unloading is required. Qualifications: A valid driver’s license is required along with a high school diploma and at least three years of experience. The van driver must possess a moderate understanding of the general aspects of the job and successfully complete the University of Pennsylvania’s Driver’s Safety training.
Compensation: $15-17 per hour, dependent on experience
