Job Summary | Seeking a strategic and collaborative leader to serve as the Chief Information Officer for UK Healthcare serving as the evangelist of digital health technologies by setting the tone as a change agent. Reporting to the SVP for Operations and a member of the executive team, this role serves as an advisor to the senior executive team with a foundation in strategic leadership and the overall operational oversight and accountability for all IT services provided by the UK HealthCare enterprise. This role will develop and execute strategies to optimize and transform care delivery models in the clinician-patient experience through the smart use of the electronic health record, digital tools, advanced technologies, services and processes. This executive will set the digital health vision and align the use of technology with health system strategies and key priorities, always balancing value while addressing operational challenges through the available digital means. This position has key relationships and engagement with UK healthcare executive leadership, in particular, the Clinical leadership across the healthcare enterprise, Chairs within the College of Medicine and Deans/IT Staff within the other health colleges. The position also collaborates closely with the Chief Information Officer of UK, to define and execute strategic directions, operational priorities, and execution of services across the entire University. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The minimum qualifications for consideration include a Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Business Administration, or a related field and 10 years of experience in an information technology leadership role. Knowledge of current and emerging technology principles and applications, computer system methodologies, and new technologies is required. The successful candidate must be an excellent communicator and relationship builder with a reputation for integrity, openness, and the expertise and demeanor to inspire confidence at all levels of the organization. The candidate must bring experience in IT strategic plan development and implementation and a track record of success working collaboratively across an organization with interdisciplinary teams to develop and obtain broad support for a shared vision and long-range plans. |
