About the role:
The Chemistry Laboratory Technician is responsible for providing hands-on support for various Water Testing Laboratory activities and projects such as water sample testing, laboratory quality control, report preparation, instrument calibration and maintenance, and advanced chemical analyses.
In this role, you will:

Perform advanced chemical analyses of water and wastewater samples

Complete weekly QA/QC including basic calibration or verification of lab equipment, cleaning, inventory, media preparation, data entry and other items related to water analyses.

Perform instrumental chemical analysis of water samples using LC/MS/MS, HPLC, GC/MS and UV spectrophotometry and other analytical techniques
Are you qualified? The essential requirements of the job include:

Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Science

At least 1 year laboratory analysis experience (e.g., chemistry, analytical chemistry, microbiology, pharmaceuticals, etc.)

Experience working with analytical instrumentation an asset (e.g., HPLC, GC, mass spectrophotometers, etc.)
