Chemist/Chemical Engineer Research Technician (Fixed Term)

SMDR Limited are looking to a motivated chemists/ chemical-bio  Engineer Research Technician to work with an innovative, experienced and well-funded team to develop a cutting-edge technology for sustainable production of fine chemicals.

You’ll be supporting the pioneering development of a new reactor technology with SMDR Limited, in collaboration with the University of Bath and funded by Innovate UK. Hence, driving the research and development activities of the company to address the needs of industrial clients.

You will be the at the heart of the technical development team.

The position is full time fixed term from November/December 2022 until 31 March 2023.

To succeed you will:

  • Have experience in a laboratory environment
  • Be able to demonstrable ability to examine, understand and assess relevant scientific and technology information, concepts and ideas and to suggest solutions to problems
  • Have the ability to apply relevant scientific and technical knowledge to all aspects of their work
  • Enjoy working with a team
