Challenge Course Facilitators will be responsible for delivering programming utilizing the low ropes facility at Temple University Ambler. This includes following established risk mitigation strategies (e.g., spotting participants) following the protocol outlined in local operating procedures. Facilitators will guide participants through a progression of teambuilding and problem-solving activities ranging from three-hour to full-day programs. A typical program will involve facilitating 8-15 participants. Will be responsible for training and monitoring participants on basic risk mitigation procedures such as spotting. Facilitators will be responsible for the continuous coaching of groups and conducting formal reflection and debriefing activities for participants. 

Facilitators will be responsible for intervening when participants may not be upholding physical or emotional safety standards outlined during the program.

Facilitators will be responsible for using various methods of group processing to ensure engagement from all learning and personality styles. 

Facilitators must ensure proper use and maintenance of program equipment including the low ropes facility and portable elements.

Facilitators will understand the essentials of the experiential learning cycle and be able to facilitate activities in a properly scaffolded manner.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

First Aid, CPR, and AED Certifications are required within 30 days of hire.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

* Must be able to work at height.
* Must have ability to ensure the safety of each client on the low ropes course, including:

Preferred:
* Experience with the Challenge by Choice model.
* Experience working with a university challenge course program
* Current Level I Practitioner Certification from an ACCT approved Professional Vendor Member
* Current Level II Practitioner Certification from an ACCT approved Professional Vendor Member

This position requires a background check and Child Abuse Certifications prior to the commencement of service.

Must be able to work varying hours, including early mornings, some evenings, and some weekends.
