Centre Manager CAST (Part Time, Fixed Term)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the UK Centre for Climate Change and Social Transformations (CAST). CAST is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Centre Manager, to be based within the hub team at the University of Bath.

About the role

The Centre Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Centre and work closely with the Centre Director and Deputy Directors, Executive Group, Communications & Engagement Officer and Centre Administrator to coordinate and deliver the Centre’s exciting programme of world-leading research and engagement. This will include:

• overseeing all aspects of the administration and support for research
• financial reporting
• networking and capacity building activities
• ensuring continuing integration between the collaborating institutions.

This will involve liaising with academic, managerial and administrative staff across CAST and with representatives of external organisations in the private, charity and government sectors.

The ESRC-funded Centre for Climate Change & Social Transformations (CAST) is a collaborative venture between the University of Bath, Cardiff University, University of East Anglia, University of Manchester, York University, and the charity Climate Outreach. It also involves close collaborations with multiple partner organisations from government, business and third sector, as well as international academic collaborators.

This post is part time (17.5 hours per week), available from December 2022 and fixed term until 30th April 2024. Working days can be flexible.

You will be based in the University of Bath’s Department of Psychology. The University of Bath is The Times & The Sunday Times University of the Year 2023.
